Suddenly, everyone was daring to go beyond the usual nudes and pinks. Think fiery reds, vibrant oranges, deep blues, anything that screamed, Here I am, take notice. It was a movement.

Brands like ColourPop came out with high quailty liquid lipsticks at incredibly affordable price points. This alongside the power of influencer- driven beauty brands and the direct- to consumer model.

It was a time to break the rules and stand out and let’s not forget the cultural shift.
